Julian's old table and chairs had seen better days, and the wood was rotting around the hundreds of screw holes in the table top. The new top is constructed with glued segments and traditional joinery rather than screwed, and re-installed on the original, repainted, iron bases.

The chairs also got new slats and hand carved armrests.
